Rapira Swedish Supersteel

Anyone know of anywhere that is selling them. I'd like to give them a try. Love the Voskhods so much I bought a hundred of them, and find the Platinum Luxes OK. But I read something recently about the Swedish steel ones that made me want to give them a try.

I like the Voskhods very much, and also get good results from the Rapira Swedish Supersteel and Ladas. I got my Rapira from a Russian vendor on eBay - unuta77. He ships quickly. I've placed three orders from him and they have always arrived within 15 days. My last order was for the Rapira Platinum Lux, which I have yet to try. I'm not aware of any U.S. vendor for the Rapira.

If you PM me your address I'll PIF you a pack of the Rapira.

The same seller quoted $21 in combined shipping for 300 blades and one cream. He has good prices but the combined shipping makes it not worthwhile for me.

I tried my first one recently. It gave me 4 great close, smooth shaves. I stopped after four shaves, the blade did not.

I also got mine from Unita77 and he sold me 100 blades ( a assortment ) for $15.00 and that included the shipping.......and that is to the east coast. I', not sure why you had a issue Verbavolant ...... are you within the US where shipping cost would have been different ? Mine took about 3 weeks to arrive but well worth the wait packaging was so/so but the blades themselves were all cellophane wrapped and good to go.

Canada, Western Canada that is.

When you say "packaging was so/so" what do you mean? Were they sent in an envelope? Padded envelope? That could explain the low shipping cost for your order.
I always request sellers to mail my orders in cardboard boxes and to use fillers.

his price is okay but his shipping is high. he will not do a great combined shipping (i asked more than once) i really like the swedish ones (much better than the lux) but he is the only place i can find them so i have not ordered them. and like Verbavolant i asked about 300 blades and he did the same basically only took like $1 off each additional shipping charge. so the shipping was way to high for that and i skipped it however i wish i could find somehwhere else to get some at a good price. if anyone knows of anywhere thats reasonable for shipping lmk. i would sell off some other things to get some swedes. the lux's are okay very sharp but not smoother at all for me. terrible in the fatip for sure imo.

It is possible he is trying to make profit on shipping. This might work with some people but I cannot forget he is selling blades not courier services. Oh well, plenty of choices out there.

Deosn't that make them about $20 per hundred, and isn't that a reasonable price for blades you like?

Would you feel better if he upped his price by $7 and offered free shipping? Of course some ebay sellers make a little on shipping. So what? If they didn't I'm sure they'd offer their items for more. When I look at ebay prices for common items, or Amazon for that matter, I look at the all-in price - item, plus shipping, plus tax. I really don't care how they split up the item price and the shipping price as long as I like the total price I'm paying.

What I meant by so/so was the 100 pack sampler of the Voskhod, Rapira, Ladas etc..... came in a old Wilkinson sword box stuffed with toilet paper to take up the space....... The box was beat to heck partially ripped up and put back together with scotch tape and when I first saw it I said ...... I hope these blades are actually in the package..... but, once the wilk sword box and toilet paper was out of the way the blades were all cellophane wrapped and though scattered all there. I mean really for the price I more than got my monies worth but I was thrown off by the packaging.
