Blades manufactured by Mostochlegmash.

Hello everyone. I want to discuss the blades produced at the Mostochlegmash plant in Moscow. These are the blades: Ladas, Voskhod, Rapira Platinum Lux, Rapira Super Stainless, Rapira Swedish Supersteel. Compare these blades with blades from other manufacturers. How accessible they are to you. We are also interested in their cost.

I am talking about my experience in Italy.
I really like Vostkoh but at this time they are not easily found.
I saw them on Italian AMZ the Taonic store sells them for € 22/100 to add any shipping and/or customs charges.
The Ladas are not found in Italy, I cannot find reference even abroad where I can buy them.
The Rapira Swedish Steel are the only ones that can be found at least here in my country.
Instead for the Rapira Super Stainless for Italy there is the Turkish store that sells them at a good price.

The cost of Rapira, Ladas and Voskhod blades in my city. These blades can be purchased on the marketplace with delivery to the pick-up point at a price of 350 Russian rubles for a package of 100 blades. This is 3.94 USD at the exchange rate on August 18.

Could be most likely nutjob stuff
Great deal on some nice blades!
Thanks for giving me an economic reality check!

Supplies and prices for Mostochlegmash products are still available and affordable here for now. Patinum Lux supplies have dried up for now but Rapira Swedes are still available at £8.99 per 100.

Ladas have disappeared. I picked up 400 for £5.99 per 100 just recently. I suspect they will not return. A lovely blade.

Mostochlegmash is an excellent family, and I feel the more 'authentic' Russian blades than the Gillette offerings after their move into Russia post 1989.

Does anyone know when Mostochlegmash was first set up and a brief history?

I am sending you a link to the official website of the plant. There is an English version.

I love the Platinum Lux, Super Stainless and Sharp Star. I get four to five shaves out of them. Didn't care for Voskhod, Ladas, or Swedish Supersteel.

The Super Stainless were the cheapest at $8 CAD per 100 shipped with the others at $14 CAD per 100 shipped on Ebay a few years ago.

Most of them seem to have less life than Gillette products from Russia, but they are nice blades. The Swedish supersteel version is the equivalent of the Gillette blades, has about the same life and feel as say a 7 O'Clock Yellow.

Given current geopolitics I don't expect to see them on the Western market for a while. I bought mine from a Russian seller a few years ago with no issues. I'm fixed for blades for about 450 years, so I won't miss buying any though.

I'm glad you liked these blades. It's good that you managed to purchase them.

Will you please stop teasing the members here with prices of Mostochlegmash blades in Russia. We know they are as cheap as peanuts there.

Found in 1908 as a needle factory. They still manufacture needles to this day. After the October Revolution it was called KIM (завод им. КИМ).

I didn't mean to offend anyone. And I really appreciate your sense of humor. :c9:

In my collection there are Ladas blades made in the Soviet Union. Please note that the cost of 1 ruble 50 kopecks is indicated on the blades. There are 10 blades in a pack. I haven't shaved with these blades yet. In this photo, you can see Sputnik blades produced in Leningrad.
