Has anyone ever had someone give you a piece of shaving gear just because they know it is something that interests you? The grandfather of one of the kids I coach is a vendor at an antique mall, here is what he handed to me today at practice. A very kind gesture that I appreciate, now to order some blades. Any blade recommendations?

That's a nice gesture. One friend threw in an extra razor (a British Ever-Ready 1912) in a trade because he knew I love anything British.

In a discussion of various adjustable razors here on B&B dreaded_rust simply offered a Gillette Super Adjustable to us. Very kind indeed.
Had a gent give me a NIB USM Clauss razor 'cause he knew I was a Marine and found out I liked old razors. I tried to refuse but he would have none of it.

With the amount of selfishness in today's world, it's great to hear that there are still so many kind people out there.
I've received a few "surprises" in BST purchases I have made.
You should be able to get some Schick injector blades at a local store. Call around to some of the smaller pharmacies in your area (the big box pharmacies don't carry injector blades for some reason.

When I commented I had never tried Arko, a very fine gentleman PM'd me with an offer to simply send me a stick. I have since received other offers to share products I have no tried. This is surely a fine community.
I had a fellow B&B member buy a DE razor for me a couple months back because I expressed interest in it in the BST forum because it was made in my grandfather's year of birth. He bought it, the seller sent it to me, he told me to pay him back whenever I got around to it. I'll pay him back someday.... but it was an incredibly random and generous act.
