So, I've been away from smoking for a fair while now, but I have this lovely pipe I think I should use, if only on rare occasions.
I was in my storage unit a few days ago, and while I was looking for something else, I found a mason jar half full of some aromatic pipe tobacco I had forgotten about. It still smells nice, but it is pretty dry. Is there a safe way of rehydrating it? My first thought was to glue a bit of sponge to the inside lid, away from the tobacco itself, and then put some water in the sponge to create a little micro humidor, if you like. My theory is the sponge will send moisture into the air of the jar, which will then be taken up by the tobacco. Will this work, or am I just wasting my time?
