Thought he was great in Sin City, and his acting was superb in 2001's Planet of the Apes. It's very hard to emote in a gorilla suit but he managed.
Also the friendly tough guy in The Whole Nine Yards.

I was shocked and saddened as well. Its always sad to see someone go, who has been such a big part of so many great movies. He always came off as bigger than life, immortal even.

Very sad to hear. I understand he recently became a vegetarian, and spoke of how much better he felt after giving up meat.

I actually saw him not too long ago at a Vegetarian Restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. He looked great -- I didn't talk to him because he was involved in a conversation I didn't want to interrupt. I loved him "The Slammin' Salmon" (!) in addition to prior-mentioned movies. Really a great comic actor in that one. R.I.P.
