Question on the R41 2013

I have a R41 2013 and I really like it. I never drew blood with it in the 15 shaves I've done so far. My problem is, it does not shave smooth. Even with a new blade, I've used Feather, Astra, 7 O'Clock yellow, it still pulls. It only pulls in certain areas of my face but it doesn't seem right.
My question is, am I doing something wrong or is this just the way this razor is?

I experienced really bad pulling, all over my face, which I solved by swapping to to much heavier handle.

Try a Razorock SLAB handle on this razor. I guarantee you will LOVE this razor. I originally tried a Ikon Bulldog II and found it too heavy. The SLAB is the answer!
