question on futur pop up head?

Hello, thanks for some feedback. I hear good things about the way a futur shaves. It appears to me that this pop up head is a bit awkward. I did go on utube to see it. I can handle the awkwardness. My question is : will this mechanism hold up for years without problems? Is there some one out there that has had one for a long time with a lot of use, or if not what is your general opinion on the durability of this head mechanism, being that you own one. thanks very much.

I've only had mine a year, but it seems to be pretty tight. I don't foresee any issues.

Mine seems to be holding up quite well after about a year and a half...

Mine has popped off and went down the drain a couple of times, prompting me to self the Futur and go back to the FatBoy. But other than that, and the lack of knurling on the handle, my Merkur Futur is a very nice razor. I don't much use either, now that I am back on the straights again, but I still keep the Merkur, cause you never know.

I suppose the detent spring could be tightened up, but you don't want to have to wrestle it off, either.

I had a feeling that if those wires are not perfect, there could be a problem. maybe one out of a thousand may be a little off, making the head a bit loose. Is there an adjustment?

I've had mine for around 10 years, no issues whatsoever.
