Should the lock down turn feel the same on this model as previous ones? I just acquired a late 1980's model in excellent condition that had very little soap scum on it. The lock down turn is very tight and does not have that same feel of spongy firmness (for lack of better words) with a definite stopping point that my earlier models have. I assumed it had gunk in the shaft, but several soaks in hot, soapy water (which usually works like a charm) have done little to alleviate the tightness.
