Purchasing restored, vintage straight razors

I am looking to move from a shavette to a straight razor. My preference is to buy a restored vintage straight razor in shave-ready condition. I am willing to spend up to $200, but will likely target razors for less than $150. I will also purchase a strop at the same time. I am aware of the Whipped Dog and Bob's Razors. I like what I see on Bob's website in particular. Are there any other reputable vendors you recommend I consider?

Thank you,
Dave

Thanks for the advice. I looked at the feather razors. They look good and get solid reviews. My concern with them is that the blades are going to be a reoccurring expense and there do not appear to be many a lot of sellers out there.

I'd look at the hobbyist and vendor sections of this site. There are usually some nice blades to be had there.

There are some nice blades on the hobbyist forum in particular. I would keep me eyes open there for something that stands out to you.

Hi Dave,

If you are in the UK, I'm selling some straight razors from my own collection, all are shave-ready. In fact overseas postage wouldn't be too expensive either.

Best wishes
