Does anyone sell a replacement rubber grip for Puma tangs? Gary (Traveller) used to but I haven't been able to get in contact with him to ask whether he still does.
I don't know a source for original rubber, but you could use one or two applications of heat-shrink tubing. I've done a couple and it looks ok. I'm thinkin' you'd need to remove the blade from the scales and put them back on after the process, though.
I've been looking for Gary as well. His email account just bounces back any attempts to contact him. I hope he's ok. Last I heard from him was April.
Silicone tubing is available in all sorts of colors & sizes.
Very flexible & strong.
Should be possible to pry on, maybe using some oil as a lubricant.
