Prorasso Green Tub... Soft Soap or Hard Cream

This topic has come up here and there but I don't believe has been fully answered. I bought Prorasso Soap in the green tub. To me it's more a thick cream consistency...

I've tried loading the brush from the tub but I'm having slightly better success taking out the almond sized lump and bowl lathering as I do with creams. I know that YMMV, but what do you guys do with this product??

I work the brush over the soap, once it's full, I continue to build lather on the face. Nothing exciting I guess...

The take out and almond-sized piece of soap with a teaspoon-thing doesn't work for me because it will stick to my brush. Or even worse: the almond will disappear into my brush without being converted into lather at all.

Btw: I use a boar brush.

Attack it with a boar brush. I am amazed how much this stuff lathers and it holds up for quite awhile.

I use Bigelow by proraso in the green tube. I squeeze a fair amount into my lathering bowl and just work it with the brush. I use a little water to get it going and it works well for me. I would say the protion is about the size of an almond.

Yes. The green Bigelow tube (cream) and the Proraso green tub (soap) are essentially the same.

I assume you are speaking only in terms of scent, right? I can also verify that the Proraso cream in the tube smells virtually identical to the soap in the tub.

having both products, the best way i feel i can describe it is the tube to me feels like a watered down, less concentrated version of whats in the tub. The stuff is stupid soft and i used it instead of water to bind the shavings from my williams soap when i mill it into a container. On its own, theres too much mentol in the tub imo.
