Proraso vs Omega 49/83?

I know Connaught describe it as 60mm, but I have bought at least 2 brushes from them that had quite different knot lengths from the ones described on their site. I also have a huge file from a few years ago that has a lot of Omegas with all their measurements, and it states 64mm for the 10083. Finally, you might wanna check this post that even has photo of the 10083 and states 65mm Omega 10083, 21762, and 20480 - https://www.badgerandblade.com/forum/threads/omega-10083-21762-and-20480.470319/post-7729009

Just remembered that I bought a second Proraso 2 weeks ago and measured it - it is even shorter than my first - 55.9mm.
You say they are not not that all different. But I am a face latherer and 56 vs 64 (or 65) makes a huge difference for me. I know because I have the 49 (65mm) and it's not exactly the best length for face lathering.
I wish you would relax a little, it's not necessary to clobber people over the head if they don't agree with you!

Here's a post that says the loft is 60! So, I don't think we will know for sure unless people start pulling out their calipers and measuring these things.

I have an Omega 49 and a Zenith B03-A26 which is supposed to be 57mm loft (nice brush, BTW). I can face lather with either one just fine.

I have a Proraso Pro and 100083
The Omega Jade 10083 is a best boar I have.

I just used the discontinued 10104 and will have to admit it is very different compared to the Proraso. Only 1 mm longer, but so much floppier. Floppier than the 49 which is much longer.

A 10108 is currently travelling through Europe with DHL. Expected arrival on Friday. It might be the 10104 substitute as it us a new one, but we'll see.

Folks, no need to fight. Here's my post from early April with my collection:

Proraso, 49 re-knotted into a Yaqui handle, 20102, 98, 20106, 48

48 has the highest loft 67-68mm) followed by 20106 (65mm). The 98 is identical to the 20102 (62-63mm) and only a tad taller than the the 49 (62mm). The proraso is 57mm tall and too stiff for me, even wet.

they are all 26-27.5mm at the handle exit. I believe they all have the same diameter at the glue plug (25-25.5mm based on my 49 reknot) but the effective knot changes based on the handle style

My favorites are the 20102 (best handle) and the 48 /20106 due to the highest loft

I think the only difference (apart from the handle colour) is that the Wild Hog claims "The node is a hybrid 3/4 fan (fan shape) and 1/4 bulb (bulb shape)", no idea what the Proraso claims, but I've seen people use the hybrid shape as an excuse to get both
Guilty as charged

Does it look like a different shape, or do they both look like a hybrid 3/4 fan (fan shape) and 1/4 bulb (bulb shape)?
They look the same to me...

The Proraso Pro is still new and has never been used.

EDIT: Here are some pics of the Wild Hog from previous posts before (or soon after) I started using it...
