proraso shave cream

Hello; Gents
Last weekend I purchased a tube of proraso shave cream at Bath And Body. The stuff works great. One thing I noticed is that by brush seems to clump together more when using it. I also find that it seems to work just as well without a brush, just not as creamy. I see that it is an Italian shave cream, I read some where that Italian barbers are fond of boar hair brushes.
perhaps this cream works better with a boar brush. The only soap I've tried are colonel conk and the regular vanderhagen soap from walmart. I believe I will order some cella or tabac. Take care .

Love Proraso. I've only used it with a badger brush so I can't tell you if it works any better with a boar. However, I am able to get excellent lather with my badger brush without the clumpiness that you talk about. Good luck on the soap selection. Never tried Cella, but I think Tabac is excellent - scent and all.

Proraso is great stuff. I haven't noticed any clumping like you describe though. Just I good thick creamy lather.

With proraso, you don't need a lot of product to get a great lather, especially with a brush. Perhaps that is where your clumping is coming from?

Love proraso, it will always be in my rotation. Good stuff. I use a silvertip with it without any problems. Tabac and Cella are both excellent soaps!!

Proraso rocks! Been using the cream and now soaps (got them ridiculously cheap in Italy) for about three months and absolutely love the products. I have a badger/boar mix brush at the moment and don't have the clumping problem you refer to.

Add more water to the bowl until you get the consistency you want in the lather

Well I have not picked up any tubes of Proraso cream in a while but I do love the B&BW proraso but so far my favorite is the Proraso Green Soap *works just as well as the cream except it is a bit cheaper and lasts longer*.. Proraso White is good but I prefer Green!

Cheers,

I used Proraso when I started, it's a wonderful cream/soap.
the menthol really opens your eyes (and nose)
I think i'll pick me up a tube.
