Proraso pre/post white. They got it half right.

Been using the new formulation pre/post white for sensitive skin. As a pre shave treatment it's fantastic. I hit my face with a hot damp towel a couple of times, maybe 30 seconds each time, and then vigorously rub a little of the white Proraso into my damp beard. After a short pause I lather right over it and it makes a noticable difference while shaving. But as a post shave treatment I've found it to do next to nothing for me. As a pre shave, you can really feel it go to work. As a post shave, it does nothing more than smooth up the skin just a little. I do run an alum bar over my face before applying the cream after shaving, not sure if that matters.


Not at all knocking the product, I love it as a preshave, but I wondered about your opinions on it as a post shave product too. I do have some of the white liquid cream aftershave coming, maybe that'll be the ticket to follow a shave.

I pretty much agree with you on the after shave aspects of this cream. As a pre prep I find it amazing too and will continue to use it. I have the balm you're awaiting and that is an excellent product as well. Great moisturizing qualities , although I reach for my splashes most of the time for the extra sting.

I thought it was no longer marketed as both a Pre/Post. I have a jar of green and its label says it is a PreShave and says nothing about using it after you shave.

Just checked the label on the white and it is advertised as a pre cream only. I guess we've been watching too many shaving vids on youtube where it is often used as a post cream too.

Is it my imagination or was it one time labeled as a pre/post?

I guess it's one of those things where they changed the formulation and also changed the intended use, and a lot of people didn't notice. I was aware that the formula changed, but wasn't aware it was no longer considered a post shave product. So I guess I'll stop using it after shaving then! LOL!

The upside is that the jar will last longer now
