Proraso Liquid Cream AS - question

Opened a new bottle today - I am a long time fan of this AS balm.
To my disappointment I noticed while putting it on that the smell (I can not call it a scent) was terrible. I won't go into detail here.
Has anyone else noticed this? Could it be that something spoiled?
I would have a hard time believing this was something other than a mistake.

This stuff definitely spoils. It has a moldy/musty/sharp smell when this happens. I'd return it and/or call Proraso for a date code interpretation to see if you have old stuff.

Funny you mention this. The bottle I am working on (the only bottle I have ever had) has a musty type smell as well........wonder if my bottle has turned also. I am interested now and tempted to order a new one just to compare.

My bottle was ordered from Classicshaving. I gave them a call and they are sending me a new bottle. Good service, good people.

I have a bottle about 75% full and it does have a little bit of a musty smell, which I think it had from the beginning. I thought it was their attempt at a sandalwood type smell, I hope it's not ASB gone bad. I doubt this stuff goes bad with the chemicals they put in as preservatives.
