Proraso: "creme avant rasage" vs "crema pre barba"

I've been looking around for an answer to no avail so I thought I'd just ask straight up. I love proraso. I was looking at the preshave creams on amazon, and i noticed that there were 2, with the ingredients slightly differing:

Creme avant rasage = Proraso Pre-shave Cream, Refresh - Aqua (Water/Eau), Stearic Acid, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Camphor, Eucalyptus globulus Leaf Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Menthol, Parfum (Fragrance), Geraniol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Coumarin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Eucalyptol, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA.

Crema pre barba - Proraso Pre and Post Shave Cream - Aqua, Stearic Acid, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Camphor, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus Globulus Extract), Potassium Hydroxide, Menthol, Parfum (Fragrance), Cetearyl Alcohol, Eucalytol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Methylchloroisothi(azolinone) (seems to be incomplete)

Anybody have experience with the two different products? I could definitely use some comparison advice... thanks guys.

I think both of those reviews are most likely the same item.

The old formula is marketed as a pre AND post cream. New formula is marked as a pre shave cream ONLY. No mention of post *anywhere*

Judging from both of those pictures, they are both the new formula even though the description is saying "pre & dopo" which is pre & post..

this is what the old one looked like:

The old one has a gold "bar" with text in it. They have done away with the gold "bar" completely in the new formula. Here is the new one, and the one I just bought at Shoppers Drug Mart this week:

Confusing, I know. Maybe another expert can weigh in

Yep. Top pic is old formula with parabens, bottom pic is new formula with less "nasties" in it. I'm a very dedicated user of Proraso pre-post, old form and new form. It goes on EVERY shave, and EVERY pass. I sometimes use it as a balm.

Despite the old form being called pre-post and the new being called "only" pre you CAN use it as a preshave (apply to face, lather over it) or post shave as a nice healing balm (use sparingly). The new form also has a more subtle scent and less menthol than the previous formula but still the same, effective softening of the beard. An absolute MUST in my den and I always have it in rotation. A full Proraso shave (pre/soap or cream, AS) is one of life's great pleasures...

thanks for your responses guys... every proraso product ive used has blown me away... while not offering as luxurious a range of fragrances as some of the other lines like ToOBS or Geo F Trumper, nothing makes my skin feel and look better than simple combo of proraso green shaving soap, followed by the splash and then the balm. i look forward to adding the pre/post cream to the regimen. thanks again for your feedback... nick
