Price point and good product

my brain goes "thonk"
I've been trying samples of diffrent manufacturers creams and all have pretty good except for one which I think just went bad. I have tried creams that in a tub or tube are $20.00 or more. I think Razorock makes a good product that not only smellas hood , but is also a good performer and is not that exspensive. I've tubs of Razorock selling for $6.00. Does anyone know of any other products similar to Razorock in all ways I've just mentioned?

Try Godrej creams, from India (if there's an Indian grocery in your area, they will probably stock Godrej). Lanolin-rich creams in Menthol Mist, Fresh Lime, and Deluxe Lather (a cologne-y, barbershoppy scent). I get a tube for $3.00.

While you're there, check out the other shaving products that are on sale. India has some fantastic shaving products for pennies--sometimes almost literally so!

I would also recommend Proraso soft soaps. My personal favorite is the red. 150ml tub for $7. But a lot of this does not depend on just the final cost of the product but how much product is required per shave. CF creams are expensive, but a 200ml tub will last forever as so little product is required.

A huge +1 on Proraso. The entire line is fantastic and my personal favourite is the Green.

P.S. 150 ml tub for € 1.70 here. :a39:

+2 on Proraso. I'm a big fan of the White, Red and Green. The Blue cream performs well, but I generally prefer the soft soaps. I should also note that I have a burning reaction to most soaps and creams, yet Proraso is one of the very few manufacturers that has never done me wrong.:thumbup1:

BTW, Marco, how are the news scents selling in Italia, and do you think we'll ever see a Blue soap? Thanks.

RazoRock definitely over delivers for the price point, IMO. Once I use a bit more product, I plan to try several more products in their line. Looking forward to the new XX and Castle Forbes-inspired entries.

Also, for the price, Cella rocks.

My friend, the Green is the King. Good success for the Red and White and so-so luck/availabilty for the Blue. To my knowledge it seems there's no project for a Blue soap at the moment.

Price per ounce, Klar Kabinett is a great value for a great soap..... especially the way WCS has it priced since they recently started carrying it. Also, Van der Hagen Luxury is a great value for the performance. Of course, Proraso (already mentioned).

Im very interested in trying that cream however I read somewhere that people with oily skin shouldn't use Lanolin creams. Have you, or anyone who's tried it, had any issues with this?

I have somewhat oily skin, and I have no problem with it at all. As a matter of fact, over the warm months, Menthol Mist is my go-to cream. BRRRRRR!

Definitely the EU Palmolive.

And if your here in the US look locally for The Real Shave Company Shave 2x Cream. Usually about $4.99, often with a BOGO or Sale price. Its made by Creighton who makes most of the high end English Creams, good performance and a decent scent.

Proraso was suggested as a good value - as it should be. Since Castle Forbes requires half (or less) the amount of product for what most would consider a superior lather let's do the math.

Two tubes = $20. But the tubes are only 150 mg and CF is 200. So an equal amount would be around $28.

The Castle Forbes does cost a bit more, but I would strongly suggest it's worth the difference.
