Spray, but I hate the way 100 ml sizes are not that much more expensive than 50 ml sizes.
I much prefer a spray to a splash. That being said, if the 100ml splash is less than double the cost of the 50ml spray, and you know you enjoy the scent, you could pick up the 100ml splash and put it into a small atomizer. Apparently, Nordstroms sells .5oz atomizers for $5.00.

Granted, it's not alot of liquid, but you can refill it as often as need be.

I'm just not sure. Sometimes I like the splash method of putting on cologne. Sprays are so much easier though and you don't waste any.
Well, if you buy the small refillable atomizer, you have the option of both.

I'm a klutz, so spray it is. You can't knock over a spray bottle and spill half your juice.

I know that women often say that men wearing too much cologne is a turn-off to them. The scent should be present but subtle. I find that I can control the amount better with a spray.
I spray for several reasons. First, better control over the amount applied; over-applying can be trouble. Second, no chance of spilling. Third, most fragrances work better if sprayed; this method does not rub the scent into one's skin. Fourth, less wasteful method and thus makes scent last longer and saves money.
As some have said I like to do both. If forced I'd say 'Splash it!'.
Totally depends on the scent. Some argue that an atomizer can alter the scent in some ways (likely because it is thinner when dispersed and applied to the skin) and I have found some EDC's or EDT's do smell better one way or the other.
For this poll I voted spray though, I like a splash AS and a spray EDC or EDT.

Spray for control and area coverage.
I'd buy the big splash bottle and get a little spray bottle from Mama Bear. Win win...but the again, I don't have any colognes at the moment so don't listen to me

The question was framed as "cologne," so I said "spray." But if we are talking AS, I would say splash.
I like the sprays so much easier to use.
