A Yaqi brush with the 24mm Timberwolf knot is my favourite synthetic shaving brush. Inexpensive and very good.

Yaqi, especially if you check out their live sales on aliexpress this is cheapest option likely. Razorock and stirling are probably also good options. Turn n shave chess brush is fairly cheap at 15 shipped. More moderate but still perhaps budget friendly are PAA and simpson trafalgar.

It isn't an expensive brush, and I thought that it would be easier to avoid mildew with it.

Balea is around 7€ and it's OK brush

But I will recomend Simpson Trafalgar (you have 3 sizes) for around 25€

I highly recommend any of the Trafalgars myself, although I wasn't sure what you actually meant by cheap. Many people have different values on what's cheap. I have the Simpson T2 and T3 and love them.
