Please help identify my grandads razor

Today while watching the Bahrain F1 race me and my grandad were discussing shaving and he gave me this:

$2013-04-21 18.14.23.jpg$2013-04-21 18.14.25.jpg$2013-04-21 18.14.40.jpg
$2013-04-21 18.15.06.jpg$2013-04-21 18.15.30.jpg

he used it from when he was 18 and all through his time in the royal airforce serving in india and many other places and was still using it untill recently (he is now 86) he thinks it is a Gillette but all markings have worn away, it is a three piece and i thinks its all brass, i will post more pics of different parts on request if needed

please help me identify it

i would also like some tips on how to restore and clean it

looking forward to hearing from everyone

thanks

on further inspection it looks like it may have been plated but worn down to the brass underneath

It appears to be a Gillette Tech and it should say Gillette on the bottom of the base plate if it is.

The handle is not recognizable as a Gillette handle by me but others will be by soon who may be better able to say what you have.

Looks like this British model which is why I did not recognize the handle (don't see many over here in the USA)

Here is a pic of what it looked like when it was new

thanks for that! yeah you are spot on i think me and my dad are currently cleaning it up a bit. i just couldnt find it online for some reason lol

update, i cleaned it up so it was super shiny brass and have sent it to dave at restored razor to be CHROME plated.... yes i know its not the original nickel which most would probably use but i want it to be more hard wearing and last longer as i plan to pass it on to my grand children in 50 years time HAHA.... i can always get it done in nickle at a later date if i so desire :thumbup1:

today i also found a mint condition gillette slim twist in a junk shop and paid 1 pound for it.... WINNING
