Pimping the AS.

Does anyone else add stuff to their AS?

I added the following stuff to my 200ml bottle of Hattric Classic:
- 2ml Aloe Vera concentrate
- 2ml Sorbitol
- 2ml Glycerin
- 2ml Witch hazel glycerol

Those ingredients are completely water soluble, odorless and colorless.
So they won't alter your AS besides the extra skin treatment.

It really is a big difference and the skin feels like I'm using a lotion/balm without the sticky feeling most balms give.

Just this morning I altered all my AS with a 1ml/100ml for the ingredients above.

I have my own "splash" combo that I made up myself.

Dickenson's Witch Hazel
Burt's Bees Bay Rum Aftershave Balm
CO Bigelow Citrus Skin Toner

I did it mainly because I didn't have a Bay Rum splash, and on some days, I want a splash.. it's actually pretty darn good!

Don't know if it counts, but sometimes I pimp the Witch Hazel (Dickenson's) by mixing it half and half with Aqua Velva. I hate the WH smell, and AV last longer than I sometimes want it to. It works for me.

I don't wear any of my aftershave splashes "straight up" anymore. I drop a little Dickenson's into my palm, then a few drips of the a/s..

Interesting. Do you do this for scent cutting reasons, or because you want the added soothe of the Dickenson's?

Part for the soothing, part to tone down the Aftershave scents.. I like 'em, but just not screaming off my face all day... for some reason my skin hangs onto aftershave scents like grim death..
