I'm new, but have been around the auction sites looking for old razors...they entertain me. I'm pretty proud of what a month of searching can do...now I just need my birth year SS and an Ever-Ready and I'll be sane.

I have (left to right order):
GEM 1912
Valet Auto Strop
Vintage Gillette Tech Ball End
GEM Micromatic

Here's all four...not in bad shape. Most have kept their shine, some have a little wear...but that's what 100 years will do. Anybody know how to date an Auto Strop?

Here's the Valet Auto Strop which came with its case, original instructions, strop, and a couple blades in their holder...the interior of the case is rather nice:

Yes it is sir...I checked and it says Valet Auto Strop at the top of the....strop. I hadn't thought to check before.

Try the antique center in downtown La Crosse. I've made a couple nice scores there.

I feel the 1912 you have is the nicest design they made. Very round. I have one myself and even though it is covered in brassing, it shaves like a dream.
