Pen ID help, please?

Okay, I'm a total nib n00b. My dad gave me an old Parker pen and I'm stumped trying to ID it. He thinks he got it when he got out of the army in '57, but that may be just a hazy memory. He also thought it was a Parker 51, and I know that's not right. I'm hoping that some of the experts here can quickly ID it. I didn't find anything similar on parkerpens.net

One other thing, the pen has only been used with cartridges. Is there a recommended converter that would work with the pen?

It almost looks like my Parker 45 Flighter but mine has a gold clip and finial. I'm sure someone will get you an answer.

Looks like a 45 to me. Not sure about it though.

I think y'all must be correct. I searched for Parker 45 on eBay and found a couple of identical pens. Thanks for the help.
