Parker Injector

Great mild starter SE injector razor and quiet popular here on the forum. Start at a number 4 for a decent shave imho.

I have the first version, which is mild. I use it regularly for head shaves and it does that very well. They are on version 3 now so I would expect that version to have a but more gap on the higher settings. I think it is a great choice for someone who wants a daily driver.

I found it to b a decent razor, but I preferred the adjustables from Pal, and Supply. Mostly because I found the Parker a bit too light for my tastes.

I tried the Supply SE and it was too mild. I could get near a BBS with a lot of work. My current go to is the Henson ++ which gets me just as close with 3 passes an a little buffing. Looking for that sweet spot that balances comfort and efficiency so the Parker is on my radar plus I like the Injector format. Tried AC’s and Gems a long time ago and didn’t care for them.

I really like injectors too, they are so smooth. I’ve been shaving with them since September. I don’t have a Parker but I have a vintage Schick dial and PAL adjustable, in addition to Schick E, G, I, and L types.

Bought from Amazon. There was a skewed blade in the razor which I immediately replaced. The new one sat askew until I removed the injector key. Then it straightened out. Set the dial at 3.5 for the first pass. Quickly moved it to 4. Finished the first pass which hardly removed anything. Turned it up to 5 for pass 2. Got as far as my cheeks. No way was I going any further. This razor just didn’t shave. I thought about putting in another blade but did not want to waste my time. This razor is very light and looks and feels cheap. It is on its way back to Amazon. The Supply SE is a much better albeit mild razor.

I have both the Supply SE and a Schick J. I cannot get consistently good shaves with either. Had high hopes for the Schick and really wanted it to work.

I'm having the same issue. I have the Supply SE, a vintage Shick Type L, and I even sprung for the Supply Pro to see if the adjustability would get me closer. One day it will be great, the next I wonder if I have a blade in. This is true for any of the 3. I do get consistently good shaves from my DEs though.

So I just got the Parker injector, and to me it shaves very similarly to my vintage Schick adjustable. If someone doesn't like the idea of shaving with a used vintage Schick and wants to try an injector, the Parker delivers a pretty similar experience. IMO this is a decent injector razor for the price.

I have the Parker Injector V2 and I have used it for a lot of shaves. I get consistently good, close and comfortable shaves from it on setting 3 using either the Parker(Personna), Schick(China) or Schick Proline(Japan) B-20 blades.

I was looking into getting the B-20 blades but the ones I saw do not have the key to insert into injector razor. Is it easy to install the blade without the key on dispenser? If so I’ll get some for sure.

Here is a discussion of using B-20s in injectors:

I have a V2 (I think) Parker Adjustable and found this to be a problem, the B-20 sticks out too far past the stops. In fairness, that was only one, maybe two shaves, but that was my experience.

Yes, to your question, you would have to load the B-20s in an existing (usually Schick/Chick) dispenser first, to take advantage of the key on that dispenser. You can find this discussed elsewhere a number of places. Opinions differ as to whether this is too much hassle or easy as pie.
