Different blades, but I use Personna Pathology carbon blades in my Durham Dorset razor. I palm strop the edge between shaves and use only one edge per shave, flipping the blade afterwards for the next shave. I get no more than 4 good shaves per edge, or 8 shaves per blade.
I use Treet carbon DE blades in my Shake Sharp razor. I used one blade - 1 - for the entire month of May, flipping the blade on the 16th, for 15 days on the first edge and 16 on the second. That honing gizmo is the real deal. Drying the razor/blade between shaves is kind of a PITA, and handling wet razor blades isn't my idea of fun, but it was a good experiment to see if the Shake Sharp lived up to its advertising. It did.
