OMG ! My Skin is Peeling ! Reaction from Shaving Cream :

Attention Wet shavers !!
I received some new brushes and palm lathered with them.
After washing my hands i noticed that my hands just dried out and some kind white residue coming off when i rubbed my fingers !

Is it my skin or the cream ?? :confused1

Please help me

Toothpick

Needs milk and a bidet!
I doubt any soaps are capable of peeling off skin. and if they were i'd assume redness and irritation would follow, even if it was an allergic reaction.

I'd say left over soap residue.

on the other hand maybe the brush worked as a good exfoliator and it is indeed dry skin coming off. Your skin is constantly shedding dead cells. Perhaps the soap/brush combo just made it more visible.

Skin peeling via chemicals is VERY painful. Like you need to go to the Doctor now pain and water will do very little. Although I did have a tiny tingle from OS. Sniff. Wanted us to work out too.

I riinsed it again and rubbed it all off. applied moisturizing cream and its smooth as a baby's face :D Guess, it was a just result of too much lathering !
Thanks everyone.

Some tallow soaps do that to my hands, its not sore but flakey/peels. It's contact dermatitis and I have the same in contact with diesel. Use it too long and it can become cracked and go deeper. Just change soaps. Does old spice contain tallow? You can easily make it disappear by soaking your hands until the go a bit wrinkly like when you have a long bath, then rub it off with a dry towel and the dead skin comes off.
