Old English Lavender?

Found this in an antique store today
Did some Google'ing but cant find any info on it..
I see Yardley had Old English Lavender products but I dont know if this is Yardley

Theres a partial puck of soap in it...doesnt smell much like lavender though

Next shave I'll take a brush to it and see if it still works

Solved part of the mystery...took a few pictures of the puck to show why I called it "partial"

Obviously its been used..

Either someones old whiskers or his brush was shedding...

The bottom has chunks stuck to it....hmmm

Took out my pocket knife and was able to pry enough of those chunks off to reveal the maker of the puck...

Its a puck of Williams

I assume its an older puck...compared to a newer one that I have, it does look quite a bit different.

Now to try to solve the mystery of the container....

This definitely resembles Yardley container although not wooden.
Could this be a Canadian version of a sort? I found same ones for sale in Canada again:

Just some left over boar hairs. Vintage Williams is fantastic! A quick soak and she'll be producing some great lather.

Nothing really unsanitary, soap is soap.

Love the container. I'm no expert, but it doesn't look like it would be a Yardley container though. Every Yardley product I've ever seen is clearly marked Yardley. And the armor/crest insignia seems different than the paintings that I associate with Yardley Englsh Lavender.

I recently found an Old English Lavender soap case and puck. Cleaned up nice. I did some searching and couldn't find anything re date, who made it, etc.
