Old creams

I have some old creams that have not used for a while and they do not come out of the tube very well (blockage) what is the best way to deal with this

You could take a toothpick or clothes hangar, anything really that could be used to poke up into the tube to break through the blockage. If the entire tube has hardened, you could cut open the tube and move the contents to another container. Of course, in either case you'll have to make sure the contents is still useable - ie. does it still produce a good lather?

Would soaking the tube in warm/hot water help? Never tried it personally.

Do you have an empty tub laying around? My first thought was if you did cut the end off the tube and force it all out into the tub.
