Ogalla products

Good morning gents.

How long do the Ogalla scents last? Most AS's dont work for me because after an hour or so they fade.

I like the sounds of some of the Ogalla combos... BR and their Sage and Sandalwoods particularly.

I also read that somewhere sells an Ogalla sample pack? does anyone know a source for that?

I had an opportunity to try a couple samples of Ogalla a while back. I absolutely loved the scents, but they seemed to fade rather quickly (after a couple of hours).

I've been using Ogallala for a little while and I like it. However the scents don't last too long. But then again that seems to be the case with Bay Rum in general. I used it today and it lasted a couple of hours. After that I'm sure my wife would smell it if she was kissing me but the blow by was gone. That was aftershave and cologne as I applied both.
I love the smell of Ogallala Bay Rum with Limes and Peppercorn but that lasts even less time on me. I don't care for the Sage and Cedar wood. It smells ok but I just can't get passed the fact that I smell like a cedar closet. But that's just me. The Bay Rum and Sandalwood smells great and it lasts the longest (for me) of all Ogallala's aftershaves. Even after the initial scent/blow by is gone it still pops up throughout the day.

I love the Ogallala product. The smell will last on me quite a bit. I do three heavy splashes of aftershave.

While they leave my face feeling great, the scents fade quickly on me. BR and Sandalwood is the strongest and I cut that one with the regular AS or cologne to tone it down. The cologne and double strength cologne also don't last long, but I like the scents. The shave soap is good too.

I've "layered" with bath & shampoo bar, shaving soap, and AS, and the scent still fades quickly.

Thanks for the input guys. I may not grab the sampler. I prefer brands that have a bit more longevity once applied.

Sounds like for most folks these dissipate pretty quickly. So on me they would likely be non -existent.

They do fade, but the AS leaves a wonderful finish. I absolutely love the AS and how it left my skin, but ended up with a mild reaction to some of the fragrances in it, and had to trade off my stock. Their shaving stick is one of my favorites, too.

I have not had a longer lasting scent than the Bay Rum and Sandalwood from Ogallala. Some of the scents are on par with other AS as far as longevity. I can put on the Bay Rum and Sandalwood in the morning at 5am and still smell it at 9 at night.

Thread revival! I got the sampler last week and have made it through all five offerings. Thought I'd like lime & peppercorns the best, but I think for me, it's Sandalwood. It seems to have almost a hint of cinnamon in it. Stepping outside in the now-chilly mornings gives me a fresh whiff that's maybe the best part of my day.

I'm a huge Ogallala fan and am still working my way through the 5 bottle combo pack I got with the "starter kit" I put together at Fendrihan about a month ago. My favorite is the Lime & Peppercorn and I've already bought a big bottle for when the little samplers run out. I'd say they last fairly long on me; I can normally still smell a bit of it by noon and I generally finish shaving by 7:30 AM.

Love their products, SWMBO likes them also says they are balanced, may have to look into this double strength offering

I use their bath soap regularly. My favourite AS is their BR Limes and Peppercorns.
