NPR Radio Story on the Decline of Fine Writing Instruments

I used to listen to NPR at work but then the radio broke and we haven't replaced it...

My boss borrowed my fountain pen the other day with close supervision... He fell in love. There is hope still.

Wow, someone more of a Luddite than me. Amazing.

Ah, who am I kidding. You probably stream from the inner tubes, I mean Internet.

Yeah, thank god for the internet, so we Luddites can congregate and bemoan modern technology.

I picked up a few days as a relief pharmacist at a small rural hospital in N Louisiana early last month and was shocked when the administrator, a much younger gentlemen, in his mid 40's, recognized the Pelikan in my pocket. It was determined that we both share interests in not only fountain pens, but wet shaving and antique firearms.
