What's new

Now that's a steady hand! LOL

Was just sitting here designing a set of scales on the computer and the old Sherlock Holmes with Ron Howard playing on netflix in the background. I looked up and caught this bit in the first 25 seconds of the following vid:

Singing while shaving, and not even a nick when startled by a gunshot :biggrin1:

See? You can find decent straight shaving on tv, just gotta enjoy the classics :001_tt2:

He looks different from his Happy Days era. Somehow older and more black and white.:biggrin1:

Love Watson's shave scene, certainly knew what he was doing.

Bonus point to anyone that can identify the make of straight he was using!

you left out "and less doofy looking" LOL

I can't get a good enough look to even really guess at the manufacturer....especially under the lather. Easier to see on tv than on netflix though.....appears to have a barbers notch, very slight curve to the spine, appears to taper to a wider toe, shadow by the tang suggests the grind isn't very hollow, but not close to a wedge by any means, assuming a 3" length probably about a 7/8 blade. Scales are wide

what the hell, I'll take a stab and call it a quarter hollow 7/8 Frederick Reynolds with barber notch, like this one:

(even though the scales don't look wide enough on this one and the tip of the spine looks a little too pointed)

They forgot the straight razor shaving watson while robert downey jr. was shooting his wall in the new movie.

LOL someone did that to me the other day......I didn't get any work done for at least 2 hours :sneaky2:
Sorry!
