not a Gillette but still have no idea

here is the razor i won on the bay,however this is def not a gillette even British. the is one mark stamped on the case in caps FOREIGN sorry i cant help any more

Agreed had my first shave with it and it was a nice bbs with astra. Sp. Who made it though what year is beyond me hope some one knows .

From what I've seen, no matter what, if Gillette made it, they stamped it with their logo, somewhere, at the very minimum. I'd have to agree it's a generic knockoff from some company trying to undercut Gillette on that style after the patents had expired.

That and it's a nice looker as well. I'd consider owning it a win, no matter who made it, whenever.

I'm taking a guess and think it's either German or English. There have been a few Gillette knock-offs from various Sheffield and German companies. For the most part, they're not bad at all and it seems like you got yourself a pretty nice Old-Type style razor.
