Nib Acquisitions for September 2013

I regret not picking up more ink as it was 10 dollars cheaper a bottle buying it in Japan. The pilot nib writes very true to color even for a fine nib. All in all I'm very happy with the pen and tsukiyo combo

I know the feeling ... but it gives you a fine excuse to buy some other inks :wink2:

I got these earlier in September as a gift from a friend, but both FPs were shipped out for restoration/reconditioning, and they just came back last weekend.

On the left is a 1947 Parker 51 Demi in Black and Gold, with matching mechanical pencil. The pen has a fine gold nib and writes OK, but a bit scratchier than I prefer.

And on the right is a Waterman's Taperite Crusader, also with matching pencil. The cap is gold-anodized aluminum. The Crusader also has a fine gold nib, but has quite a bit of flex to it and is super-smooth!
