Newbie - traditional or kamisori?

Hey guys, I have been using DE's for the past 8 months and I want to start using a straight. I have already decided that I want to go with a Feather Artist Club or similar. I was just wondering, is it easier to start out with a traditional folding or a kamisori? I had the CJB kamisori but I found it difficult to find the right grip and angle. I just didn't know if it might be worse with a traditional folding razor. I cut myself with the CJB once, got scared, and sold it. Now I've got the itch again. Any input would be appreciated.

Both are good. I've heard folks say that the nonfolding one is easier to manipulate or better for "tight spots", but I never noticed an advantage. I quite like the grips that can be done with the folding Feather.

I expected to prefer the kamisori style, because I thought it would be easier to manoeuvre. When I actually used them though, I found the folding was easier for me to use.

I found as a newbie that the folding were easier to handle. The scales seemed to bring a better sense of stability.

Time to time I'm holding my one between my thumb and index finger, because of that I rather to use a straight one like Kamisori. Sometimes I find the scales/handle of the razor in my view and sometimes it makes it difficult for me to shave some parts of my face. but I don't have such a problem with a Kamisori style.
