Okay, the obsession expands...
This handle arrived today from Razor Bob, the craftsman of Bull Mastiff fame.
It's currently attached to an EJ 89L.
To say I'm happy would be mild. IMO He did a beautiful job.
The extra weight of the brass balances more nicely than the hollow original.
I'm expecting tomorrow morning to be a treat.

Okay!

I loaded up a Derby, whipped the C&E Nomad to a meringue and boldly ventured forth...

...and was rewarded with excellence. The heavier handle makes a perfect balance and the lightest of touches is all that's needed. BBS w/o anxiety. A little Grafton and Saturday is sweet.

FYI - Bob says he made 2 of these. His price is very reasonable.

The burled maple handle is beautiful. How do you care for the wood handle considering its daily exposure to water of all different temperatures? Thanks, I am interested in Jagger head and will also be replacing the handle.

I guess I'll be monitoring over time. Bob treated the wood with tung oil and then spar varnish so my concern isn't high (These pix didn't pick up the medium gloss finish).
I strongly recommend the EJ head.
The EJ handle is hollow and this handle is solid so the new balance/feel is improved by that - IMO.
