I was in a B&M l'Occitane last night checking out some body soaps and hoping to find a bottle of 4 Voleurs. They had no 4 Voleurs, so I asked the saleslady if the company had truly discontinued the fragrance, and she replied that the head office was very vague with regards to that area; however, she said that a new men's scent is on its way by the end of summer.

If you're in Columbia, there are 2 in Charlotte that are much closer. One is in South Charlotte at Southpark Mall and the other is a newer store in North Charlotte--I believe the mall is called North Lakes?
according to the CSR's at l' occitane (when i emailed them about this) 4 voleurs is only being repackaged and will return....

Anyone tried this yet? Comparisons to Oxford and Cambridge? Would be nice to have an alternative at 1/4 the price.

So, the top notes and base notes are 1805, and the middle notes are O&C. Mix your 1805 half:half with O&C and make your own!
Interesting. There's a L'Occitane in the mall across from the office. I'll have to stop in and pick up a sample or two. If I can get several samples, I'll PIF them.

Too true. My experience so far with ANYTHING that boasts of water, freshwater, "ocean accords" or the like tends to smell just like the awful, overbearing scent counters at Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom's. I will politely sit to the side whilst we wait for the Nid to take a bullet for us.

I want to be open-minded, but this is so sad. Discontinue Cade splash and introduce a "fresh aquatic?" Yeah, those are in short supply.
I stopped at the L'Occitane store yesterday. The new scent, not my cup of tea, very light, but also too pepperminty for me. However, I spoke with the store manager in regards to the Cade splash and she told me that they bring it back, but in a new packaging, and this would always take a long time. Not sure if I believe this, but she was firm the splash is coming back. Maybe in a plastic bottle....
I agree with you on the new scent. It is kind of boring and does not last long. I tried some last week. Not your typical L'Occitane scent.
btw the sales lady told me the same thing in regards to the CADE AS. I hope she is right. There next fragrance needs to be out of their Cade line. That would be great.
