It is with great pleasure and tremendous pride that I'd like to take a moment to introduce B&B's members to my new wetshavers storefront, "Gentleman's Best" located in Southington, Connecticut.
This store was born from my passion for, and of traditional wet shaving as well as fine products from around the world. My new shop is based in the historic New England town of Southington Connecticut. I would like to invite everyone to share in my passion for wet shaving and the old world quality products that make our hobby so enjoyable.
My goal is to bring only the fines quality mens shaving and grooming products the world has to offer. My mission is that I can help transform my customers every day shaving and grooming experience into one that will delight their senses and spark the passion for old world traditional grooming.
I am committed to and take great pride in offering the finest in quality traditional wet shaving and grooming products available anywhere in the world. My inventory includes some of the most unique products available, recognized for their quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
With a strong emphasis on quality, I ensure our stock comes only from the most reputable of manufacturers. Names like; Simpson, Feather, Taylor of Old Bond St, Geo F Trumper and D.R Harris, to name just a few, ensure my range of shaving and grooming products are extensive and of the highest quality available. I also offer some of the finest local Artisan Collections available.
At Gentlemens Best, the customer comes first. I believe in the old fashioned values of giving customers personal attention. I will never be too busy to offer advice or just shoot the breeze.
Besides product, I offer a couple services such as straight razor honing (an outside service), traditional straight razor shaves by appointment on Saturdays by our experienced, licensed barber in a nostalgic setting from the late 1800's including an original Barber chair from 1888.
I've also implemented a vintage razor buy/sell section for my local folks.
I have invited a local custom knife maker to display and sell his wares as well as a local vintage watch buyer/seller who will also be taking space in the store.
Along with grooming line, I have also acquired the latest in laser technology and will offer customer laser engraving on most materials specializing in Glass, Crystal, Marble, Wood and Bone. This is basically for the personalization market as well as small parts production marking and theft prevention/ID marking.
One of the projects I just launched is the marking and logging of children's bikes and registering them through our local PD with the help of the YMCA.
I wanted to thank each and every one of you for pushing me completely over the edge and making this endeavor possible.
While I have been open now for a week, the Grand Opening and official Ribbon cutting with all the bells and whistles (and some of Jim's smoked pepperoni) will be held on Saturday October 17th from 11 to 1 with the ribbon cutting at high noon. I hope to see you all there.
