Neutrogena face wash/shave scrub

Since switching over to DE I have been getting pretty bad breakouts. In fact, I look like a 15 year old. I'm 38. Not cool. I am contributing this to the amount of essential oils in the products I have been using vs the canned goop I had used previously and my skins attempt to adjust.

Anyway, I bought some Neutrogena menthol face wash and an exfoliating shave scrub this morning at the CVS in my office building on a buy 1 get 1 sale. $7.49+tax for both. Score!

Has anyone had luck with these items? They have both gotten good reviews online.

I have been using their Invigorating face wash for about a week. Pretty tingly on the skin, and seems to do a great job.

I use the scrub once a day. My skin has always been pretty clear, but I am prone to breakouts every now and then. Its been a month of using the scrub and I have been breakout free.

I've been using the razor defense face scrub. I can't say that it helped, but I also can't say that it hurt either. I started using it the same day I started using a DE so I don't know if my better looking skin is a result of not using canned goop or switching from Zest soap to this scrub. (I do think it feels better than my normal bar of soap) I just picked up Shea Moisture SHAVE African Black Soap Facial Wash & Scrub while I was shopping for SWMBO at Target and decided I would see what a more natural approach would do to my skin.

I used the invirogating face wash for a while and it didnt seem to do anything, I recently switched to a mystic waters face soap, the gentle oatmeal, and have seen remarkable improvement in my acne and overall skin health in my face. Ive only been using it for 3 days, twice a day. so 5 times so far.(This is the 3rd day and I've only used it once.) I highly recommend the product.

I got the razor defense face scrub myself last week and like it. It's abrasive and cleans out the pores. I figure that it can't hurt and just might help!

Just an update. Tried the Shea Moisture blah blah blah for a few days and didn't much care for it on my face. The first time it actually burned a bit and my neck seemed to rash up a bit but it did not do this on the next few tries. My shaves after using this haven't been so good so I've gone back to the Razor Defense. I guess there really is a difference. I'm using the Shea stuff on my foot instead. Feels better down there. :)

I use the Neutrogena. It makes my skin feel pretty awesome and it seems it helps with my shaves.
