Just received my new Dirty Bird 1.5. The thing is beautiful. Just can't figure out how to use it. This morning it really messed up my shave cream. The stuff was dry and bubbly. What tips can you give me on making lather in a scuttle.

Check out brucered's videos on YouTube (of here if you can find them). My experience is that I need a fair bit more of both product and water than i do when I face lather.

Your lather was dry and bubbly? Sounds like the water in the scuttle's water jacket was too hot. Heat can break down lather.
