Need Inexpensive AS recommendation

Right now my two main inexpensive After shaves are Aqua Velva and Mennen Skin Bracer . . both great, and both inexpensive. I have some expensive splashes but I'm looking to bolster my inexpensive category. (forget balms) Does anyone have a recommendation for another inexpensive (yet great) after shave? Preferably something like the two I mentioned which have some good skin goodies in them. Something beyond just alcohol, water, and fragrance? Thanks.

Thayer's Witch Hazel is great for your skin. At about $10 a pint, its not exactly cheap, but its not exhorbitantly priced either. It comes in various flavors so you can have your choice of fragrances, but the important part is the WH and Aloe that work to tone up your skin and leave it feeling refreshed. I use it both before lathering and after the shave ... sometimes I splash it on even with out shaving, just to freshen myself up.

A $25 bottle of Tabac Aftershave goes a long, long way ... I'm only half-way through my first bottle that I bought over a year ago.

Pinaud Clubman is available at drugstores and barber supply houses ... its pretty cheap. Some people like the aroma, some don't. You'll have to decide for yourself.

The famous Vijon "Ivy Club" Old Spice clone is GREAT and better smelling than the current version of Old Spice :) You can get it at Family Dollar for under two bucks for seven ounces.......or the same bottle at CVS for six bucks :confused1
GREAT stuff. Matter of fact ALL of ViJon's products are awesome from their Brut clone to their Aqual Velva wannabe.

Try the Aqua Velva "Musk" version. I love the scent and it works great! For something lighter Humphrey's cucumber/melon witch hazel is all natural and is only about $4

If you'd like some REALLY inexpensive and fun AS, have you tried the Barbasol line? They have a "Brisk", which is similar to Skin Bracer, and "Pacific Rush", which is fairly highly mentholated. Both include propylene glycol (similar effect as glycerine, but cheaper). For about $1.75 for a bottle, even if you don't like them it's no big deal. You can find them at your local Dollar General store.

+1 to the Ivy Club Old Spice clone (although it lacks any skin goodies) and AV Musk (which includes glycerin). Another option if you like the scent of bay rum is either the Pinaud version (sans any skin moisturizers) or Master Bay Rum (with glycerin). A large (12-15 oz) bottle of each will run you about $7, and they're available through most barber supply stores or over the net.

Finally, if you haven't tried using it yet, may I recommend witch hazel? Although it has no lasting scent, it does wonders for freshly-shaved skin. The generic version is less than $2 for a pint, and T.N. Dickenson's will run about $4. Witch hazel is about the best "bang for the buck" you can get in skin healing - I use it after every shave. Both are available at just about every WalMart.

If you want to spend just a bit more than drug store prices go for the aftershaves from Saint Charles Shave. You'll pay a bit more but you'll get high quality and a lot of different scent options to choose from.

Ogallala Bay Rum. Comes in original, Limes & Peppercorns and Sandalwood. $9.95 a bottle and they smell great.

These compete with the best and most expensive splashes out there. Best overall value buy IMO.

Not sure how many times I've said this, but I'll say it again. Go to Saint Charles Shave and check out the options on splashes.

Saint Charles Blue Line Menthol splash if you want a strong menthol. I also like their Sandalwood.
