Need help with Sandalwood soap, AS and Cologne

I am a new to wet shaving and about to pamper myself here with a spending spree. I want a good Sandalwood layering system so here is what I need:

1. A good high quality Sandalwood Shave Soap (GFT, TOBS, C&E, ....)
2. A good high quality Sandalwood ASB (GFT, TOBS, C&E, AOS, ....)
3. A good high quality Sandalwood Cologne that isn't going to break the bank (GFT, TOBS, C&E, AOS, etc)

Any recommendations?

TOBS makes a better Sandalwood cream than soap and the smell and function is great. The cologne is nice and long lasting. The aftershave can be hit or miss person to person. It does a great job protecting your face and moisturizing but the smell wasn't my favorite at first but I love it now. I think it depends on your mood. I didn't use it all summer here in Arizona but I just began to splash some one for the cool Autumn season and the smell just works dandy!

I hear TOBS Sandalwood smells soapy? Does it have a strong, sweet sandalwood note in it?

I've tried GFT, T&H, TOBS Sandalwood and Castle Forbes Cedar/Sandalwood

Of them I think GFT and T&H are the best. I find the scent of the ToBS to be too weak and the Cedar in the CF overpowers the Sandalwood.

When I'm going for a Sandalwood shave these are my preferred products:

T&H Sandalwood (Soap or cream)
GFT Sandalwood Skin Food
GFT Sandalwood EDC

There are other Sandalwoods on my "must try" list but so far this is what I've found I prefer.

TOBS sandalwood cream has the spiciest and longest lasting scent to me. TOBS sandalwood aftershave and cologne are similar, and none smell soapy. D.R. Harris sandalwood aftershave splash is similar and also great. T&H spanish leather cologne is in the same vein.

Soap: QED Sandalwood, or MB Mysore Sandalwood
Cologne: Diptyque Tam Dao

I have the Cyril & Salter Sandalwood cream and the Crabtree & Evelynn Sandalwood cream. I like them both, the differences are slight.

The CS is a sweeter smelling sandalwood, almost candy-like in it's topnotes. Makes a great lather, and very good lubrication.

The C&E is a woodier, more natural scent, slightly better lather than the CS, and even slicker still. I prefer it over the CS, but only just.

Nice thread, as I've had similar thoughts. What do all you fine folks think about the West Indian Sandalwood from The Shave Den? Does anyone have any experience with it? I ordered a sample, but I didn't order a regular Sandalwood for comparison.
