Need a new razor

Hey guys, Just need some help.
I own two DE's (an 34C HD and a '49 Gillette SS) I love both razors. My dilemma is: (PS. i use Derby blades)
1) HD is great for first and second passes but too aggressive for ATG passes (burn too easily).
2) I use a Gillette SS for ATG but find it a tad too tame (i works but i have to go over same spots too much)

I love both razors they do a great job but are there any other Gillette models that are a little more agressive than 49 Super Speed.
Maybe a later SS model?

Please let me know:)

Thanks guys! All this information will help me decide! Thank you!
That's why I love wetshaving, so many options so much customization!

One more thing, would the agressiveness change on a 40's Gillette SS if I switched from a Derby blade to a Feather? Although feather blades are sharp, maybe it would be toned down by the Super speed razor, because derby blades in my Merkur HD are agressive but not in my SS. Just a thought:001_smile

In a word, yes. I have a 40s Super Speed as well, and was underwhelmed by it. I tried it with Feathers and Shark Super Chromes, and the aggressiveness went up, but was still smooth. It is now my daily razor. I suggest you give the sharper blades a try with it before casting it off.

I won't ever cast my 40's SS becuase its such a good touch up razor (that, and it looks killer!). The advice is awesome and maybe it would be nice to try a feather. I've been holding back on feather blades because of the consensus that they are laser sharp. But since the SS is such a toned down razor I will try them out!
Sweet, many thanks!
