Need a little help identifying antique store razor

Hey Everyone,
I was at an antique store today and found what i thought a Gillette in a case with both blade boxes. However after scrubbing at home i do not see Gillette on the razor just made in USA and star stamped on it twice. I paid about $7.50 for it and it came with some old blades as well.

Thank you turtle, thats what i thought after i scrubbed the old goop off of it, just wanting to see for sure.

The inside is nice outside is rough and the snap broke but its in the box

Heres the blades almost all are rusty though

Don't try to shave with those blades but actually for a 70 plus year old set of blades they aren't in bad shape. I would think those blades alone as a historical artifact are worth $7.50.

Ya I didn't want to shave with the blades, Im going to clean the razor up sometime soon. I was ok with my one merkur until now I have this case and need the right razor for it. Horay for RAD
