I've always been a Laker fan... love watching Kobe play. I'm cheering for LA; it should be an amazing series because Boston is such a stacked team.
No real partisanship from this Texan, but I'd love to see the Celtics win.
The Celtics are playing better defense and have the hottest point guard in the league right now. The Lakers have Kobe but one of their big men has a gimpy knee. The Celtics look better on paper. My uninformed vote goes to Boston.

Lakers. Not only do I genuinely like the Lakers, I dislike all of Boston's sports teams.
I'm rooting for Boston(being a Knicks fan, that is hard to do) because there is absolutely no way I'm rooting for the Lake Show.

I've gotta believe that Kobe wants this bad and is in total Black Mamba, @#$% you mode. The Celtics beat him a couple of years ago in his first finals without Shaq, he's been pretty much ignored all season, he's been relegated to second best player in the NBA and, even now, Lebron's future is getting as much coverage as the NBA finals.
LA wins this in 7............(the networks want to drag this out as long as possible). I think this will be one of the better finals series we've seen in a bit. Kobe hits a game winner sometime during the series. Rondo has a triple double at home. A fight will break out in game 5
I am not a basketball fan by any stretch of means, but I hope the Lakers win. I have always admired Kobe's style of play.
Hahahaha. Are you serious about this? I can't imagine that happening. Only Rasheed Wallace and MAYBE Kevin Garnett could be volatile and/or stupid enough to start a fight in the NBA Finals. I think it would be hilarious, though. Now you've got me excited about this possibility.
Some things are just in your blood, and thats the way the Lakers are to me. Here are the most memorable moments for me regarding the Lakers.
I was three growing up in Los Angeles when I first started following the Lakers, the starting lineup at that time was Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Gail Goodrich, Happy Hairston and Wilt Chamberlin.
I remember driving with my Dad listening on the radio when Jerry West hit his famous 65 foot from mid back court to win a game.
One of my close colleagues and friends here at my university was the back up guard to Magic Johnson on the Michigan State team that won the national championship.
I got Chick Hearns autograph at a Lakers game back when they were playing at the Forum. A very nice guy, he was busy announcing but turned back and graciously asked me what I wanted him to write, and he wrote it.
When I was in the Army during the 1980 NBA finals, I was the only Lakers fan in a platoon chock full of very aggressive Philly fans. They were riding me all week about how Kareem Abdul Jabaar was a one man team and then when Kareen hurt his ankle and could not play, they were really riding me about how the Lakers were going down in the final game. I sat there, the only Lakers fan in a day room full of Philly fans, and watched how Magic Johnson took the 7th game over and wiped out the 76ers. I'll never forget how quiet that room became after the game wore on......
So I have nothing against the Celtics, they're just a great team all around, but for me its Lakers all the way baby!
