What's new

n00b checking in.

Greetings all. After using a Gillette Sensor and cheap gels for my entire shaving life, I've decided to start shaving like a man. Focusing right now on safety razors.

I'm starting with a Feather Popular and a few different brushes and soaps.

I've already started acquiring several vintage Gillette Techs and can see that's a deep rabbit hole! Have two NOS Travels already, a couple more on the way, and now a Canadian model just bought on this forum.

I'm here to learn, commiserate, trade, buy, and probably eventually sell.

Welcome aboard! Try to stick with one setup for awhile so you can get your technique down and learn your beard growth pattern. I too started buying vintage razors right out of the gate but eventually learned the tools are not as important as your technique.

I think this fits, Gents
Welcome to B&B from SoCal, a Feather Popular was one of my first razors. Since you like vintage Gillettes, you might want to try an open comb model like a New Short Comb or a New Long Comb. Enjoy!
