Hello Gents,
After some suggestions from a couple of members I have decided to start a new thread where I will post all my restores, rescales, and crazy idea projects. I hope you guys enjoy viewing them, as much as I enjoy working on them
First up, this one belongs to our fellow member Natchez!! He wanted scales done in a burgandy color, after a little poking around in my local Acrylic shop, I found a scrap piece of this nice transparent burgandy. I polished up the blade for him and pinned it with Silver nickel rod, stainless washers, and brass washers on the tang side!
Here is how I got it, the blade was in pretty nice shape to start with. The original scales were cracked at the pivot.
And here she is after a little love!! I may just forget to mail this back Richard
Here is a Filarmonica I polished, and am rescaling for a cool dude in Scotland. He wants the scales to have his name in them, he sent me his signature, so I am going to try and put that into the scales. Wish me luck!
Came in like this, All NOS, I felt bad unpinning it for a second since it is so nice and clean!!
Unipinned and Polished out waiting for some scales!
This a bad *** 8/8 Wade & Butcher. This one is mine!! IM doing custom white scales, white liner, and a black lined yellow wedge!! The blade will get the full greaseless treatment and a near mirror finish!!
Here is how I got her. Thanks Natchez
Here are the scales just rough cut at the moment, still have to finish them up and polish them.
And a teaser for me, Cant wait to get this one shiny, pinned and honed! Ive wanted one of these choppers since I first learned about straights!!
Thats it for now, stay tuned, as I plan to update whenever I work on stuff! thanks guys, and as always, all comments ideas and suggestions are welcome!!!
