My Guess... 3017

I got moves like Jagger
After almost 3 months, my Musgo Real Lavender cream is done. I managed to get enough product for one last shave this morning and, expected, it was very nice and still had a wonderful scent. This is a top notch product, but given the current pricing of Musgo creams, it's hard to recommend it as a purchase when compared to Palmolive and Proraso.

Up next is a partial stick of Cremo Refreshing Mint.

First use of the Cremo stick this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. I had expected something less latherable and more greasy, akin to the cream, but this performed just like a normal stick should. The peppermint is a full-on blast and the cooling was much stronger for pass-2. Even when rinsing my face post-alum, the coolness was there.

Translation... so far, so good.

Guess I’m gonna 3017 this soap now. B&M Reserve Waves, been using this pretty exclusively, no idea how many shaves I’ve got on this, but it’s a great performer for me and I like the scent. Will definitely re-buy when the time comes. I only shave every other day, at most, sometimes every third day if I’m being lazy. We’ll see how much longer I’ve got with it 😃🤙

Broke through the bottom yesterday!

My tub of Tabac is back from a couple weeks on the road. Either my little case brush is a lather pig or the water in Tokyo and Seoul are conducive to loading more soap. So far my running average is up to almost 0.4g per shave and it is becoming more likely I will meet my goal of finishing it before the end of the year.

Ruckin - based on current usage I won't need to purchase any soap until mid 2045 :eek2:

I think you're going to need a bigger brush!

So this lathers just like a regular shave stick?

I've been using a Cremo stick off and on for traveling since before the pandemic. I'm planning on killing it this summer because their isn't enough left for another full trip. I found it to be an excellent travel soap. It works well in all water types and has that legendary Cremo slickness. The mint has excellent cooling qualities and it never got a second glance by airport security. I was disappointed that Cremo discontinued the sticks. After I kill it this Summer I'm going to grate a puck of Haslinger Aloe to stuff in the empty container.

3 1/2 months into my Valobra fougere, I think a quarter of the soap has been used up. The screw top lid keeps the moisture in the soap and it doesn’t dry out between uses.
A cheap omega makes an excellent lather. Using a Gillette guard and Floid AS splash. I’m having some very good shaves with this set up.

I honestly don’t know why they would discontinue such a premium product. Luckily I have 2-3 pucks after this one is gone.

I’m a couple of weeks into this puck of Arlington. I’ve always just had average performance from Harris soaps but for some reason, it’s been phenomenal. I’m using a @Rudy Vey brush with a Mühle synthetic knot, soaking the puck beforehand and loading very heavily. I’m getting gobs of great lather. @Jim always says ‘use more product’ and he’s right again.

That’s a soap I really enjoyed, but I only purchased one. I kinda wish I purchased multiples before committing to 3017 existing stock!

I was away from home for 4 days and took a vacation from my current 3017 project.

My travel kit included an English Tech razor, a Polsilver Super Iridium blade, a RazoRock Bruce synthetic brush, and a small tub of E Jagger Sandalwood shaving soap. Four marvelous travel shaves. Now I'm back to my regularly scheduled 3017 project, which is a puck of Williams Barbers Bar soap. I have 112 shaves on it so far and I'm down to what looks like the mirror image of an oversized comma. I had expected it to be gone by now, but it isn't giving up without a fight.
