Using the laat of a puck of Monsavon on vacation this weekend. I enjoy it. It's a slick soap with a nice scent.
I'm on the road these last couple of days, averticaave enjoyed a cheat opportunity with a stick of QED Bathtub Gin. This is the old glycerin based soap, and boy does it perform and smell great. Back in the day, glycerin soaps were the artisan standard. Though I am grateful for all of the progress our current crop of artisans have made, I'm disappointed that the old standards get a bad rap. Between the ease of lathering, performance and scent strength, they were and are great.
Charles from QED is a master with scent construction. I'm disappointed that the QED glycerin soaps are no longer available, but am happy that the brand continues with a different soap formulation (QED's original soap supplier retired).
Hi @Galaktus. What does OOP mean in your above list of soaps? Guess out of something but nothing is coming to me as to what the P might be.
And congratulations on finishing up leg one. I'm nearing one year and I have a long way to go
I thought OOP was what you said when you put a snurdle(tm) of cream on your brush and it falls off into the sink before you can apply it to your face?
Ruckin.
The Maca Root and the TOBS are both solid creams. You should try both. I think the Maca Root is just a hair better in performance.I only have a few days left of the AOS Sandalwood. I'm thinking of using up some Captain's Choice samples I received last year, then maybe switching over to a cream. I've got a tube of Bigelow but kind of want to either pick up another tub of Body Shop Maca Root or maybe a tub of TOBS like Eton College.
Also thinking of picking up a new aftershave. I have three lotion/balms now (Nivea, Every Man Jack, and AOS Sandalwood) and no true "splash". Used some of the sample of CC Bay Rum last night and my skin felt great afterwards. I've been meaning to get a full bottle of Proraso Green after enjoying a sample a few years ago.
Thoughts on a nice spring/summer AS splash and shaving cream?
