My first post in this thread to report in a shave cream 3017

Vicco Laboratories is well known in India for making face creams and other products based on the awsome goodness of turmeric. They have a shaving cream which is strong but pleasant scented turmeric and has a good lathering base. It is one of my favorites. They also have a version with turmeric as base and sandalwood oil.

When applying lather to the face, due to the nature of the turmeric, blood flow spikes through the face to give that warm feeling. Turmeric has possibly the best medicinal properties for the skin and blood in nature.

The cream is slick And has great post shave feeling to it.

BebeLush Bay Rum ist tod. The remains of the tin gave me a subpar lather today, but I'm looking forward to moving on to a new(!) tube of TOBS St. James cream. It's a classic if ever I saw one.

Unexpectedly hit the bottom of my tub of B&M Reserve Classic today. I thought it would be a few more days until that happened. Still plenty left though. I'm guessing somewhere around 2 more weeks.

I found the Nivea cream to be solid and effective.

Haslinger Schaffmilch is still on 26 g (including container).That is around 10 g of soap per month of everyday shaving. Nuts!
So, there is about one month worth of soap left.
Then there is Stirling Sheep, Sandpiper and Ozark mountain. And Proraso wood and spice. And Palmolive stick.
I guess I have at least year of hard work.

The Simpson T3 synthetic and new formula Haslinger are poducing some of the easiest, fastest, and highest quality lathers I've ever experienced.

I'm afraid to count!

After finishing the WCS samples I started on AOSt Lemon, as I posted before. While cleaning out a medicine cabinet I came across an old puck of Williams. Sadly the modern version, though I have never had problems getting lather. I use a deep container and lather on the puck, loading it like some of you hate it. Kepp adding a little water, and soon you have very usable lather. Not AOS lather but good enough that I finished it in about 6 weeks. I did add just bit of bourbon Cremo, mostly for the scent, but it probably added a little slickness.

Now back to the AOSt. We'll see if I can finish it, or get bored and continue my modified 3017.

3017'd a tube of Derby Lemon Moisturizing Super Shaving Cream. 35 shaves from this $2.95 tube. It's also a good performer.

It’s all about building the muscle to stick with it when it seems to be taking forever. Nothing helps that more than actually finishing things, and nothing is easier to finish than a cream.

I think I will take your advice and 3017 a Musgo Real Lime Basil tube. It has been used about 10 times, so shouldn't take more than 2-2.5 months. The lanolin feels great in the winter when everything gets pretty dry and this brand has been a top performer for me. OTOH, I don't love the scent, so I won't miss that part (way more basil than lime).

If successful, I'll be at 9 soaps and 1 cream. 5 of the soaps are partially used or smaller pucks, although that includes MdC and DRH. So, sometime this decade.....

Taking a break in Proraso red for December to use Stirling Christmas Eve for the month. Good shaves all round.
