Ok, just got this back today, and I have to tell you - it is absolutely gorgeous. I mean knock down gorgeous.
Ray (Thirdeye) is truly an artist and his work here proves he is in a league with the best of the best.
The work on the bone scales is amazing, the weight and thickness of the bone is perfect. The bone has an aged look, not like newly cut bone if you understand my meaning, and the laser scrimshaw just pops on the pale bone, not sure how he did that.
The cleanup done on the blade itself makes it worthy of the scales it now resides in.
This is my heirloom razor that I will pass on to my Grandson when he gets older and can appreciate such works of art. I'll proudly use and display this wonderful straight until that time.
Did a shave this morning with it, and in keeping with the theme used a vintage Old Spice soap in an Old Spice mug and matched it with a vintage Shulton Old Spice AS.
Aye, matey - 'twas grand indeed!
Thank you Ray, I'm am quite the happy old sailor today, I can tell you that!!
